Meet the Team

  • Alan is passionate about bringing glory to Jesus, serving his Bride and reaching those who don’t know the good news about Jesus.

He believes the church (local and translocal) is the greatest hope of the world and wants to see a vibrant Kingdom expression in every locality and network in Scotland and Ireland.

Alan has been an ordained minister in the Church of Scotland since 1993, planting in Whiteinch, Glasgow, before being released to serve the wider church, through the Cairn Movement.

He is married to Diane, has two sons and is a fervent Rangers FC supporter.

  • Stuart & Berdien are married and have two young children. They are passionate about missions, societal transformation, and discipleship. They long to see this generation walk out the great commission in Scotland and the nations.

Berdien is Executive Director of Cairn, and Director of THE SEND Scotland. Stuart is a Director within a recruitment consultancy and with Berdien runs a property investment business.

  • Originating from North Ayrshire in Scotland, Julie has a passion for missions and empowering believers in their walk with Jesus.

She served with Iris Global on the mission field for over 12 years, travelling throughout Israel, Africa, North America and South America. During this time, she was involved in training individuals for long-term missions as well as running outreaches and equipping local believers.

Her experiences have not only deepened her faith but have also ignited a desire to see God move powerfully in her home nation of Scotland.

Returning to Scotland, Julie is now the operations manager at Cairn Movement. Bringing all her experience from the mission field, Julie longs to see the body of Christ in Scotland empowered, with believers wholeheartedly set ablaze for him and walking in the destiny God has for them.

  • Jen has lived in many different nations over the years in her pursuit of God. She is currently part of leading a church community in Sheffield and works as a Dance Movement Psychotherapist.

Having grown up on the Isle of Lewis, she was marked for revival as a teenager. She carries a deep desire to see people of all ages come fully alive in their God-given identity and purpose.

Jen has followed God's call on her life in using dance and movement as tools for healing, freedom, and breakthrough. For her, movement is a natural way to worship, and she loves helping people—especially those who’ve never danced before—step into movement with confidence and joy.

  • Ruth Weller leads House of Word and Spirit, a ministry passionate about seeing the next generation not only encounter Jesus but become activated in their gifts and equipped for their calling.

A former Pastor, spent over a decade on staff with Re:Hope in Glasgow and led the team who planted Re:Hope Southside in 2019. She has been involved in both local and overseas mission and training with YWAM. Ruth is deeply committed to living a life of Spirit and truth, and loves teaching on biblical worldview, apologetics, prayer, prophecy, and dream interpretation.

She’s also a content creator, currently renovating her Victorian home, climbing Munros when she can, and caring for far too many pets.

  • Michael and Madeleine Craig help lead YWAM Scotland.

With 17 years of experience in missions, they are passionate about equipping and mobilising a new generation to step boldly into the Great Commission.

  • Gaynor has lived all over Scotland but currently lives in Stewarton and is mother to five children.

Gaynor loves community and is happiest when she is surrounded by friends and family.

She has served in a ministry called FireStarters for the last 8 years and her desire is to see a generation set on fire for Jesus to be sparks of revival. She loves seeing young people raised up to know the Lord and make Him known. Gaynor’s heart is full when she sees young people equipped and released to walk out their leadership calling.

  • Ashley is from Oregon in the United States, and for the last ten years she has been passionately pursuing the heart of God. Her desire is to see every nation, tribe and tongue declaring that Jesus is Lord!

After attending Iris Global’s Harvest School three years ago in Wales and Scotland, she has had a passion to see the ancient wells of revival bubble over throughout the UK, with highways of holiness connecting the children of God throughout the country. Ashley has led teams to 11 different countries to spread the good news of the gospel, and to hold up the arms of missionaries in those countries.
